8th Grade Kickarounds (4/21/23 update)
ABK is holding three optional/non mandatory kickarounds, open to any current 8th grade soccer players, on Mondays, May 8th, May 15th, and May 22nd. From 5:30pm-6:30pm. These will land outside of our current varsity girls game days and directly after our practice. 

Important info: Try to arrive around 5:15pm at Varsity soccer fields on the East side of campus, at the student parking lot. Players can be dropped off and walk through the gate and sit in the middle of bleachers to get suited and booted. Once the varsity team clears out, I'll direct players on activity for the day. 

Please don't wear club gear to train in, and white tops are preferred. Have shin guards and we will provide soccer balls. 

Parent Guidelines: Let this be the player's experience. Drop them off for the hour or remain in parking lot if you want. Let your player enjoy meeting teammates and coaches without parent intervention. Coaches will have plenty of time to meet parents, but just not yet.

Pickup time is 6:30pm.

ABK 2023 Girls Soccer Season Update (as of 2/20/23)

Hi ABKers, The season starts in one week!  I hope you and your families are ready for this upcoming season.  Here is an update regarding the Soccer Season that is planned to start on February 27, 2023.  Please know that all dates and plans are subject to change.

Register, Register, Register!! If you plan to try out, please register ASAP, click the link https://arapahoehs-ar.rschooltoday.com/  and scroll down and click on the Registration button. Please read the text on the page, as you will need an approved current physical, which will take a few days to process.  You will get a confirmation email on your registration when it is accepted.  Why is this so important?  There is One week for tryouts, and you do not want your player missing the first day (20% of tryouts) because they are not registered.  Only registered players can try out, no exceptions. Freshman and New to ABK Meet and Greet virtual meeting will be on Thursday, February 23, at 6 pm.  The purpose of this meeting is for incoming Freshmen or anyone new to the program to meet with the Coach and a few Seniors.  They will share best practices and answer questions. If you have not received the invite, contact the Booster Club.

Tryouts start February 27, 2023.  Tryouts begin Monday and continue each day of the week.  A scrimmage on Saturday, March 4, will be at AHS’ Turf Field against Colorado Academy on Saturday, March 4. The varsity pool will play at 10:00 AM and the JV pool will play at 12:30 PM.  The Saturday Scrimmages include only the Varsity and JV player pool and will be communicated to the players by the coaches.  Tryouts begin right after classes and go until 5 pm or later.  Ending times will fluctuate, please stay flexible.  Players need to bring their own water and shin guards.  Do NOT bring a ball, as they will be provided.  Do NOT wear club gear or any other High School information! Don't be that kid.  Parents are not allowed on or near the field.  Please wait to pick up players in the parking lot, and in your vehicles.

Parent Meeting for players that make a team is planned for Tuesday, March 7. More details will follow.

Varsity/JV/FreshSoph Game Schedule (as of today) is posted on the athletic website, https://www.arapahoehs.rschoolteams.com/sport/girls/soccer. Varsity/JV typically play on Tuesday and Thursday, therefore Fresh/Soph will typically play on Monday and Wednesday. All information is subject to change.  

Regular Season will be 15 Varsity games before the playoffs begin.  There will not be a Warrior Invitational this year but there will be a banquet! After the regular season games, the State Playoffs for Varsity will begin May 7.  The season ends with the State Championship on May 22.
