2023 Tryout information

Tryouts are 3 days, 2 rounds are 18 holes. Typically the team consists of 16 players. Seniors need to be ranked in the top 5 to be guaranteed a spot

Tryouts will be Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, July 31 - August 2 . Monday July 31 will be a practice at Pradera Country Club starting at 11:00 am. Tuesday and Wednesday will be 18 hole rounds with tee times each day beginning at 12:00 pm. You must pay for your round at South Suburban and show your receipt to the coaches prior to teeing off.

For boys interested in trying out, the golfer should fill out the Google form letting the coaches know of his interest in trying out. Everyone will be assigned tee times approximately one week prior to tryouts.

If parents/grandparents can help with scoring at tryouts, please let Coach Lienemann know. We need one person with each group to keep track of strokes. No experience (other than counting) necessary.

Practice/competition will begin the next day, on Thursday, August 3rd. The team practices or plays every day, M-F until late September.

There will be a parent meeting soon after the team is selected - time and location TBD. Coach will cover his expectations for the season, booster information will be discussed. Booster dues in 2022 were $450. We anticipate they will be similar in 2023.

Registration and Physicals need to be completed and athletes cleared PRIOR to tryouts. Plan to have registration done and the Athletic Physical Form loaded by July 26 so your golfer doesn’t miss out! Take the AHS Athletic Physical Form with you to your appointment. You will upload this to your profile when registering for golf.
